
Meet Mike Watts for Chancery Court Judge
Mike Watts has spent his entire adult life in public service, working as a correctional officer, police officer, and criminal investigator before earning his law degree with honors from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1984. Over the past four decades, he has tried cases at every level of the court system, from Chancery and Circuit Courts to the Mississippi Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals, handling matters ranging from family law and estates to complex civil litigation. He has also served as Municipal Judge for the City of Oxford, as an adjunct law professor, and as Chief Hearing Officer for the Mississippi State Personnel Board, earning the highest peer-review rating from Martindale-Hubbell for nearly thirty years. Now a candidate for Chancellor of the 18th Chancery District, Mike Watts brings the wisdom, experience, and fairness that families deserve when facing some of the most important decisions of their lives.
