Meet Mike Watts for Chancery Court Judge

For over forty years, Mike Watts has dedicated his life to the law and to the people of Mississippi, beginning as a correctional officer and police investigator before earning his law degree with honors from Ole Miss in 1984. Since then, he has built a distinguished legal career with the Holcomb Law Group, earning the highest peer rating from Martindale-Hubbell and recognition among The Best Lawyers in America, while serving as Oxford's Municipal Judge and as an adjunct law professor. His experience spans nearly every area of the courtroom, from criminal defense to family law to appellate practice before the Mississippi Supreme Court and Fifth Circuit. Mike specialized in wills and estates as well as estate litigation. A longtime resident of Oxford, Mike brings a lifetime of integrity, service, and hands-on legal experience to the bench. Mike also has a great daughter, son in law, and grandchildren who live in Oxford. Mike’s wife, Becky, passed away in 2023.
